We are now accepting bookings – welcome back!
We are excited to announce that the clinic will be accepting appointments for chiropractic care starting May 6, 2020. We are currently waiting for an official reopening date for acupuncture and massage therapy.
In order to make it feasible to continue operating under the current protocols imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to increase the fees for a regular chiropractic visit to $55 a visit. Considering that we had not increased our fees in more than 2 years to account for inflation, we hope that our dear patients will understand. The fees for assessments, seniors and children remain unchanged.
In order to meet our commitment to patient safety and follow the directions of the public health authority, we have changed our booking procedures to include pre-screening questions and staggered appointments to help ensure physical distancing is maintained in our clinic. We are asking patients to help us maintain a healthy and safe environment in our clinic by answering pre-screening questions truthfully and following the new procedures in the clinic.

Online booking is enabled for chiropractic care with Dr. Schryver and Dr. Samoil. Before booking, please read the following:
Do you have current symptoms of COVID-19, such as:
a fever, a new or changed chronic cough, a sore throat that is not related to a known or preexisting condition, a runny nose that is not related to a known or preexisting condition, nasal congestion that is not related to a known or preexisting condition, shortness of breath that is not related to a known or preexisting condition
Have you traveled internationally within the last 14 days?
Have you had unprotected close contact with individuals who have a confirmed or presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 (e.g. individuals exposed without appropriate PPE in use).
If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are not eligible to schedule an appointment at this time. You need to self-isolate and call HealthLink 811.
If you answered no to all those questions, you may proceed to book an appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule this appointment at any time due to symptoms surfacing, be aware that we are waiving our customary fees for late cancellations and rescheduling.
We wanted to let you know we are making changes to better promote patient safety and health in the clinic with COVID-19 still present in the community. That way, when you come to see us again, you can rest assured that we are taking proactive measures to keep you safe.
Here are some of the changes we are making at the clinic:
Increased sanitation and cleaning of the clinic and treatment rooms
Pre-screening patients before they enter our clinic
Timing patient visits to allow for physical distancing
In addition to those changes, you will notice some differences when you walk in the office. Staff and practitioners will be wearing masks. No lingering before, during or after your appointment will be allowed. We highly recommend waiting in your car for your appointment. Phone use to advise us that you are here and we will phone you when we are ready for you to come in. We will not be accepting cash at this time to decrease contamination risks. Clinic access is restricted to patients with appointments. Patients with appointments are allowed only one chaperone, if necessary. We ask that if you choose to wear a mask, please bring your own. Our supply is extremely limited and we need to keep them for our practitioners and staff.
The above changes may take some time to get used to, but we are making them because the health of our patients and staff remains our top priority.
Remember, if you have experienced a fever, cough, runny nose or difficulty breathing in the last two weeks we will need to know prior to booking.

To our Valued Patients:
After careful consideration we have made the decision to close the clinic for 2 weeks. We will reassess our position in 10 days, as of today we will be closed until April 5th, 2020.
With the continued progression of COVID-19 in Alberta and Canada, we feel it is not possible to provide safe, quality care to patients at this time, despite continued enhanced cleaning and screening efforts. Due to the nature of manual therapy and the physical contact required for treatment, we are unable to follow recommendations from Public Health Authorities regarding safe distancing to decrease the risk of virus transmission.
Our top priority is the health and safety of our patients, staff, their families, and our community, especially those who are more vulnerable to the implications of COVID-19 infection. Thus, we feel it is our social responsibility to close our doors, much like other businesses are doing throughout Alberta and especially since the recent emergence of cases in Slave Lake. All appointments for Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Massage Therapy are therefore cancelled until April 5th. Please follow our Facebook page and website for updates.

Dale Blair, Acupuncturist is now available for walk ins Wednesday afternoons until 4:00 pm. He has extended his schedule and now offers appointments Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Congratulations to Anna and Allan for successfully completing their second year of massage therapy!
They are soon to be officially Registered Massage Therapists (RMT), which means that they will be covered by all private insurance companies. Hence their prices will change March 1, 2019 to match the RMT prices:
30 min: $55
30 min seniors: $50
45 min: $70
60 min: $85
90 min: $115
They are honouring the student prices until the end of February, so call in to book with them before this sweet deal is over!
Acupuncture prices are changing!
Starting January 1st, 2019 prices for acupuncture with Dale Blair, Acupuncturist will be as follows:
Acupuncture Assessment $20
Acupuncture Treatment $60
Acupuncture Treatment Under 18 $45
Which means that if it is your first time and a treatment is performed with the assessment, your total for your fist visit will be $80.

Dear valued practice members, please note as of January 1,2018 there will be changes to our massage therapy and no show fees to account for inflation. All massage fees will increase by $5 per massage and the no show fee will increase to $25. Thank you for your understanding.

Dear valued practice members, please note as of October 1,2017 there will be changes to our chiropractic and acupuncture fees. Please see the updated price list in the Services section of our website.
Lately we have been faced with a lot of practice members not showing up for their appointments, which prohibits someone else who was on the waiting list to get that time slot. So a late cancellation and no show policy was implemented in order to
continue to serve as many people as possible.
Fees are as follows:
Late cancellation - $10 + gst
No show - $20 + gst
A late cancellation is considered when less than 24 hours notice is provided, and you are asked to pay the fee before you can reschedule another appointment.
